Eggless Orange Cake
Ingredients
All purpose flour : 1 cup Orange juice : 1/2 cup Yogurt : 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar : 3/4 cupOil : 1/2 cup Orange zest : 1/2 tsp Baking powder : 1 1/4 tsp Baking soda : 1/2 tsp Salt ; a pinch Vanilla essence : 1 tsp
Method
Preheat oven to 180 C Sieve flour,baking powder, baking soda,salt 2 times.Mix the yogurt,oil,orange juice,orange zest well..To this add the flour and fold the mixture gently.Pour the mixture into a greased pan. Bake for 25 minutes.Let it cool down completely.Cut the cooled cake into pieces and serve.

Cooked rice : 1 cup
Sprouted green gram : 3/4 cup
Chopped onion : 2 tbsps
Green chilly : 2 nos
Red chilly powder : 1/2 tsp
Ginger - Garlic paste : 1 tsp
Garam masala powder : 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
Salt
Oil
Coriander leaves
Method
Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds.
Add chopped green chillies,onion,ginger-garlic paste and fry.
Add the sprouts now and stir.
Add salt and mix and let it cook for few minutes.
Put garam masala powder,red chilly powder and stir.
Add cooked and cooled rice now and mix gently.
Cover and cook for few minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with any raita .

Raw bananas : 2
Besan flour : 4 tbsps
Rice flour : 1 tbsp
All purpose flour :1 tbsp
Baking soda : 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder : 3/4 tsp
Asafoetida : 1/4 tsp

Method
Cut the sides of the raw banana ,peel the skin,slice them lengthwise and put them in water..so that they don't discolour.
In a bowl prepare a batter using the besan flour,rice flour,All purpose flour,asafoetida,salt, red chilly powder,baking soda and add enough water and mix without any lumps. The batter should be in dropping consistency.
Heat a kadai,add oil for frying.. When it is hot Dip the raw banana slices into the batter..
And fry till golden brown.
Raw Banana Bajji/ Raw Banana Snack is ready..Serve with coconut chutney or with tomato sauce..

Semiya ( vermicili) : 3/4 cup
Milk : 3 cups
Sugar : 3/4 cup
Cardamom powder : 1 tsp
Saffron : few strands
Ghee : 1 tbsp
Method
Soak saffron in little milk.
Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan,roast semiya( vermicili) until slightly brown.
Add milk and let it boil until semiya turns soft.
Add sugar and mix.
Cook on low flame for few minutes until milk gets thick.
Add cardamom powder ,soaked saffron and mix.
Switch off the flame and serve hot.
