Oats & Wheat flour dosa



Ingredients

Oats             : 1 cup
Wheat flour  : 1 cup
Rice flour       : 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds   : 1 tsp
Whole pepper  : 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil



Method

Dry roast oats for few minutes , let it cool and powder it.
Mix oats flour,wheat flour,rice flour,cumin seeds, peeper,curry leaves , salt with required water and make dosa batter .
Keep aside for 5 minutes.
Heat a non stick pan, rub some oil , drizzle a ladle of batter on to the hot tawa.
 Pour some oil around the corners, let it cook till the edges turn brown.
Flip over and let the other side cook.
Serve hot with any chutney...



Oats Uthappam



Ingredients

Oats         : 1 cup
Wheat flour  : 1 tbsp
Curd              : 1/2 cup
Finely chopped onion : 1 cup
Chopped green chilly : 1 tbsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Oil 


Method

Grind oats to a coarse powder and put into a bowl. 
Add wheat  flour,curd, salt and sufficient water to make a batter .
In a bowl mix onion,curry leaves,green chilly,coriander leaves and keep aside.
 Heat a dosa tawa,Pour a laddle of batter ,slightly spread it to form a thick dosa.
Sprinkle 4 tbsps of onion mixture all over the dosa,apply 1 tsp oil around the dosa and cover it.
Flip to other side,drizzle some oil again,once done remove from tawa.
Serve hot with coconut chutey.. 


Oats Masala Paratha



Ingredients

Wheat flour      : 1 cup
Oats                 : 1/4 cup
Grated ginger    : a pinch
Red chilli powder  : 3/4 tsp
Turmeric powser   : 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds          : 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves    : 2 tbsps
Salt
Ghee                      : 1 tbsp
Oil


Method

Mix all the ingredients except oil in a wide bowl and make soft dough.
Keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
Divide the dough into 10 equal portions and roll out.
Heat a tawa,cook the parathas with little oil spread around the edge.
Turn it over & cook the other side.

Oats Pongal



Ingredients

Oats    : 1 cup
Moong dal    : 1/4 cup
Pepper     : 1 tsp
Cumin seeds  : 1 tsp
Grated ginger  : 1/2 tsp
Ghee               : 2 tbsps
Salt
Curry leaves 
Cashewnuts


 Method

Dry roast oats for few minutes.
Pressure cook moong dal with water for 3 whistles.
Grind pepper, jeera, ginger to a coarse powder.
Boil 2 cups water, add oats and let it cook.
Now add the cooked moong dal ,salt and mix well.
When it is thick,remove from  the flame.
Heat ghee,add the spice powder,cashewnuts,curry leaves and fry.
Add this to the pongal,mix well and serve hot.



Oats Cutlet/Oats Tikki



Ingredients

Oats           : 1 cup
Cooked & mashed potato   : 1/4 cup
Red chilly powder        : 3/4 tsp
Pav bhaji masala         : 3/4 tsp 
Cumin powder            : 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves 
Salt
Oil for shallow frying


Method

Dry roast oats and grind into coarse powder.
Mix with mashed potato and add red chilly powder,pav bhaji masala,cumin powder,salt,coriander leaves to it .
Divide the mixture into 10 - 12 equal portions,and shape them into round.
Heat a tawa and shallow fry it with little oil.
Serve hot with tomato ketch up.


Instant Oats Paniyaram



Ingredients

Oats         : 1 cup
Rice flour  : 2 tbsps
Rava         : 1 tsp
Sour curd  : 3/4 cup
Grated ginger : 1/4 tsp
Chopped green chilly  : 1 tsp
Salt
Oil
Mustard seeds
Chana dal



Method

Put oats,rice flour,rava,salt,ginger Green chilly in a bowl and add sour curd and mix well. 
If the batter is thick add water and mix.
Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds and chana dal.
Add the tempering to the batter, mix well and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Heat a paniyaram pan,add oil,pour the batter in each mould and let it cook.
Turn and cook the other side too.
Serve hot with any chutney...
