Green Peas Sandwich



Ingredients 

Homemade Wheat  Bread slices    :  6 
Green peas                                   : 1/2 cup ( boiled)
 Chopped onion                            : 2 tbsps
Red chilly powder                         : 1/2 tsp
Chat masala powder                     : 1/2 tsp
Chopped Tomato                         : 2 tbsps
Salt
Oil 
Butter 




Method

Heat oil,add chopped onion and fry.
Add tomatoes and salt to it and stir. 
Add cooked peas,red chilly powder,chat masala powder and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Spread the mixture on a Homemade Wheat Bread Slice evenly,cover with another bread.
Toast it in a sandwich maker or in a tawa.
Cut into 2 and serve with tomato sauce.



Poondu Rasam / Garlic Rasam






Ingredients 

Tomato              : 1 
Chopped Tomato : 1 ( both)
Tamarind water  : 1/2 cup
Pepper               : 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds       : 1/2 tsp
Red chilly            : 2
Garlic pods         : 10 
Turmeric powder
Mustard seeds
Salt
Oil
Asafoetida
Curry leaves



Method

Grind together pepper and cumin seeds finely.
Add garlic pods and 1 tomato to it and grind.
Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,curry leaves and broken red chillies and fry.
Pour the tomato mixture ,tamarind water , chopped tomato,turmeric powder,salt to it and bring that to boil.
Turn it off when it is about to boil.
Garnish with coriander leaves . 
Serve hot with rice....




Lacha Paratha



Ingredients 

Wheat flour            : 2 cups
Water                    : 3/4 cup
Ghee                      : 2 tbsp
Salt




Method

Mix wheat flour & salt ,add water and knead until a soft dough is formed.
Keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
Divide the dough into equal balls.
Roll it thinly into flat round circle.
Apply 1/2 tsp oil over it and spread evenly.
Fold the dough,  start creating pleats by folding with the help of fingers and stretch it .
Dust the rolling surface with flour, flatten each dough .
Heat a tawa, fry each paratha until brown,flip and cook the otherside,drizzle some oil.
Serve with any Kurma or curry of your choice. 



Nellikai Sadam / Gooseberry Rice



Ingredients

Grated Gooseberry          : 1 cup
Cooked rice                     : 2 cups
Red chilly                         : 2 
Green chilly                      : 2 
Peanuts                            : 2 tbsps 
Urad dal                          : 1 tsp
Mustard seeds                 : 1/ tsp
Grated ginger                   : 1/4 tsp
Oil                                   : 2 tsp
Salt
Curry leaves 




Method

Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds ,urad dal, chopped green chillies,broken red chillies,peanuts and fry till they are brown in colour.
Add grated gooseberry ,salt and fry till raw smell goes away.
Finally add the cooked rice and mix well.
Serve with raita  and any chips.
