Milk : 2 cups
Sugar : 1 cup
Cardamom powder
Saffron
Method
Make small balls from the dough and steam cook it for 10 minutes.
Remove the balls and keep aside.
Soak saffron in little milk.
Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan.
Once the milk comes to a boil,add the cooked kozhukattai to it and simmer the flame.
Let it boil for 10 minutes.
Add sugar now and let it boil for few minutes.
Add saffron,cardamom and mix well.
Serve hot.
Ingredients For the Filling / Pooranam
Grated Coconut : 1 cup
Grated Jaggery : 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder
Ghee : 1 tsp
Method
Heat a pan,add jaggery and 1 tbsp water and mix.
Strain it ,add grated coconut to it,mix well and keep it in the flame.
Stir well continuously till it roll like a ball.
Remove from fire and let it cool.
Ingredients for Kozhukattai Maavu
Raw rice : 1 cup
Oil
Salt
Method
Soak raw rice in water for 1 hour.
Drain the rice and spread it in a clean cloth for 10 minutes.
Grind the rice to a fine powder.
Sieve twice and keep aside.
Boil 1/2 cup Water in a pan with little salt and 1/2 tsp oil.
When the water starts to boil, add 1/2 cup rice flour,mix well and remove from fire.
Knead it well and cover it.
Take lemon sice dough,make small cup and add 1 tsp pooranam/filling in the midle and close it.
Steam cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
Remove gently and Serve.

Dry Ginger powder : 2 tbsps
Grated Jaggery : 2 tbsps
Ghee / Honey : 1 tsp
Method
Blend ginger powder and jaggery in a mixer.
Add ghee or honey and mix.
Make small size balls and store it in a ait tight container..

Rice Flour : 1 cup ( Recipe here )
Jaggery : 3/4 cup
Urad Dal flour : 1 tsp
Butter : 1 tbsp
Grated coconut : 1 1/2 tbsps
Sesame seeds : 1 tsp
Cardamom Powder : 1/2 tsp
Oil
Method
In a heavy Bottomed pan,add grated jaggery and 1/4 cup water and stir until jaggery dissolves well.
Dry roast rice flour and urad dal flour for 2 minutes.
Dry roast the coconut and keep aside.
Then fry sesame seeds and add it to the coconut.
Now add the coconut mixture to the flour and add cardamom powder,butter and mix everything well.
Add the jaggery water to the flour mixture little by little and make a stiff dough.
Keep this mixture aside for 12 hours.
Make small balls and deep fry in hot oil till they are golden brown.
