Ingredients
Carrot peel : 1 cup
Tender palm fruit/nungu peel : 1 cup
Milk : 1 cup
Garlic : 3 pods
Pepper powder : 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves
Salt
Oil
Method
Heat oil in a pan ,stir fry chopped garlic for 2 mins and let it cool.
Grind carrot peels, palm fruit peels along with sauted garlic to a smooth paste.
Heat kadai, pour the paste ,milk, add pepper powder and salt to it.
Let it boil for 3 mins and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot.

Never tried palm fruit,soup looks hearty and delicious.

ReplyDeleteWe used to get fresh Nongu with that nectar like liquid in Kerala but the white peel was always bitter; interesting recipe. Can't find that here! :-)
